Money-Happiness-Liberty-Rationality

A passing thought captured: Money can bring you luxury, but it may not bring you happiness. Happiness comes from the peace of your mind and there can never be peace if tension hovers like Damocles’ sword.

To acquire money, you need to go through a lot of tension and this leaves a scar for life. This indelible scar becomes a constant reminder and in the process happiness is never achieved.

We can go far. But how do we know how far can we go, if we do not take the risk and stretch ourselves and go too far?

Liberty may never be attained by Human. Man can on no account be free from believing in superior powers on Earth, be it politicians, kings, dictators, prime ministers, presidents, masters, wealthy men, bosses, superstitious beliefs, astrology, religions or gods.

Man is governed more by his feeling than by rationality.

God has become or is becoming a nuisance value to society!

After being exposed and assaulted from various sources and under assorted influences and blitzkrieg of great minds, I was really surprised how you could possibly weave and churn this sentence”God has become a nuisance value to society”. (Or was it “God is becoming a nuisance value to society”?). It does not matter whether god has become or is becoming a nuisance value to society, what was important was the stark realism of the essence.

Manash, I have to acknowledge that I was really a little surprised by your statement - a smirk proclamation which was so unlike you.

Here is another way at looking at things.

I might not be able to get it out of my mind for a long time to come.

We Never Learn

When we have in our hand an intense form of nationalism which believes that only your country is superior to other countries and that all other countries are deteriorating and mediocre and we spend billions of dollars each and every year to prepare for ”defense” - we are establishing the barbarian policy of “might is right”.

We are still following the Mongols way of life : the only thing that still counts in the international affair is ‘Force’. The intrinsic worth of Truth, Mercy and Tolerance are seen as fundamental indicators of softness and weakness of human nature. We are all itching for war and we see ourselves relying solely on shedding blood and believing in the Iron Rod.

We had a 1914 and a 1935. We are waiting for more such dates.

Such is the folly of Mankind.

All your life you always wanted to become ‘somebody’. Don’t complain now that you did not become ‘somebody’ – you should have been more specific!

Further just imagine that if all of us had become somebody specific what we wanted to be – then the world would be filled up with doctors, engineers, scientist and the rich.

Back then - a person who read a lot of books was a ‘well read’ person.

Today - a person who views a lot of TV is a ‘well viewed’ person.

You will remain a rat

1 _ The diversification of religion has perhaps led to people killing each other, believing that they were doing the work of god.

Then there are those who have no religious beliefs but are upright, kind and compassionate people. On the other hand, there are those who preach religiously and eventually are not even interested in a world beyond themselves.

2 _ By and large it may not be an appalling idea for 'well-brought-up' people to refrain themselves from indulging in political and religious talks. These subjects are overloaded with emotions. Discussions may soon give rise to disorder. Blood has been shed since time immemorial over religion and politics

3 _ Heard once many moons back that to succeed in this world or to climb up that corporate ladder, you need to race ahead than the others.

In other words – it’s a rat race.

The dilemma with this rat race concept is that even if you win – you are still a rat!

4 _ It is really strange that when you talk to god, people term it as praying – while when god talks to you, people term it as schizophrenic!

Such is the faith of man in god!

the wrong place at the wrong time !!!.

Computers, iPads, iPods, GPS, Mobile phones and built in cameras, Digital Cameras, Internet, FB, Twitter, Emails, Walkmans, 3-Ds, Gaming Consoles, Fast and Luxurious Cars, Aircrafts, Super fast Trains, Calculators, Credit Cards, Microwave Oven, Refrigeration, Air Conditions, Bar-Codes, ATMs, Guns, Skyscrapers, Electricity, Solar and Nuclear Power, Robots, TVs, Space Explorations…whew!

The List is never ending. If you think all this has added comfort, leisure and refinement of life and that the quality of life has been raised along with "Wealth," then think again – and look around you.

People still fight wars, commit crimes, pollute the environment and do several things motivated by greed rather than concern for other people or even themselves.

Poverty, Malnutrition, Hunger, Unemployment, Drug Abuse, Rape, Child Labour, Discrimination, Racialism, Caste Divisions, Religion Divisions, Ignorance, Superstitions, Illiteracy, Injustice, Terrorism, Slavery, Oppression, Political upheaval, Famine, Flood, Devastation, Displacement of People, Profit over People, Corruption, Diseases, Population and Death, have not added any value to Life

Nature has not improved. Man being a part of nature consequently has not improved even with such amazing (magical) technological invention. Nature is Nature – and Human Nature is Human Nature. Man does not really progress, since the itch to annihilate is second nature to him and coexists along with the aspiration to fabricate and create in the hope to make life better.

With all of man’s creative creativity and astuteness, he cannot resolve the most important problems—those that intimidate his very existence on an earth that is methodically being obliterated.

Perhaps we suffer because we are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time !!!.
