Aachhe dukkho, aachhe mrityu

 

 

 

আছে দুঃখ, আছে মৃত্যু, বিরহদহন লাগে।

Aachhe dukkho, aachhe mrityu, birahodahano laage
1.There exists pain, exists death, the ache of separation burns one

 

তবুও শান্তি, তবু আনন্দ, তবু অনন্ত জাগে ॥

Tobuo shaanti, tobu aanondo, tobu anonto jaage.

2. And yet reigns peace, prevails happiness in eternity

 

তবু প্রাণ নিত্যধারা,      হাসে সূর্য চন্দ্র তারা,

Tobu praan nityodhaara, haase surjo chandro taara,

3.Flows the ceaseless life–stream, beams the sun, moon, & stars

 

 

বসন্ত নিকুঞ্জে আসে বিচিত্র রাগে ॥

Basonto nikunje aase bichitra raage.

4.Spring appear enchanting with vibrant colours.

 

তরঙ্গ মিলায়ে যায় তরঙ্গ উঠে,

tarongo milaye jaay tarongo utthe

5. Waves calm down as they rise again,

 

কুসুম ঝরিয়া পড়ে কুসুম ফুটে।

Kusum jhoriya pare kusumo phute.

6. Flowers fall apart as they bloom again.

 

নাহি ক্ষয়, নাহি শেষ,   নাহি নাহি দৈন্যলেশ--

Naahi khay, naahi shesh, naahi naahi doinyolesho –

7. Never eroded, nor ceased, nor having slightest depression ever

 

 

সেই পূর্ণতার পায়ে মন স্থান মাগে ॥

Sei purnotar paaye mon sthaan maage

8. My heart desires rest at the feet of that completeness.
